DT Jamarcus McFarland, Lufkin – This junior was the district sophomore of the year in ’06.

TE Jonathan Gimm, Westfield – Gimm was a first-team all district selection last season, and will be a focal point of the Mustangs’ offense

QB Ford Lakin, Klein Forest – The 3-year starter led the Golden Eagles to the playoffs with 1,854 passing yards and 20 touchdowns

K/P Randy Bullock, Klein – The senior is one of the state’s best kicking prospects (11-14 FGs and 39-39 PATs)

LB Jeff McVaney, Strake Jesuit – The returning all district performer will double as the Crusaders’ starting QB as well

RB Anthony Bibbs, Jersey Village – Bibbs, with 1,214 yards and 8 touchdowns, is the latest in a line of outstanding Falcon backs

RB Shane Turner, Cy-Falls – Turner was a key cog in the Golden Eagles’ run to the Division II title game

DE Jowyn Ward, Mayde Creek – Ward had 71 tackles in 2006, and figures to be a disruptive force as an edge rusher

OL Eric Ball, Katy – The 270 pound senior is the latest standout lineman produced by Katy

DT Ray Kibble, Hastings – Kibble is an intimidating interior force on what should be a playoff contending team.

OT David Campbell, Aldine – This 6-6, 320 pounder is drawing attention from Division I powerhouses

DT Rod Davis, Eisenhower – Davis, who has committed to Texas A&M, anchors what figures to be a stout Eagle defense.

S Bo Aycock, Memorial – Ayock was a playmaker in the Mustang secondary, returning one interception for a touchdown.

QB Darron Thomas, Aldine – The senior is a multitalented playmaker, accounting for over 1,500 total yards, and is being courted by several colleges

FS Craig Loston, Eisenhower – Loston, a junior, adds speed and skill to the Eagle secondary, recording 110 tackles and a pair of interceptions

WR Jamaal Johnson, Chavez – Johnson caught 35 passes and scored 8 touchdowns to help lead the Lobos to the postseason

WR Eric Lair, Lamar – Lair provides a tall (6’4”) target in the passing game for the district favorite Redskins

DE Tracy Robertson, Lamar – The senior should provide upfront pressure for an experienced Lamar defense

WR/DB Jackie Hinton, Channelview – The senior is a threat as a receiver (34-421, 7 touchdowns) and a defensive back (5 interceptions)

RBs Albert Williams and Christian Michael, West Brook – Williams, a senior, and Michael, a junior, combined for 2,845 yards in the Bruin backfield

WR Freddie King, PA Memorial – The senior wideout is a key man in the explosive Titan offense, having caught 50 passes for 800 yards and 10 TDs in 2006

DT J.T. Cleveland, Baytown Lee – Cleveland will be an impact player and disruptive force along the defensive front for the Ganders

DT Chase McEntee, North Shore – McEntee, a senior, anchored the Mustangs’ defensive interior in 2006 with 75 tackles

WR Bola Omisanya, Deer Park – The senior receiver recorded 648 receiving yards with 6 touchdowns last year

 RB DeAundre Jones, North Shore – The junior speedster rushed 407 yards and 5 touchdowns as a part-time player

DL Jeremy Coleman, Marshall – The 252 pound Coleman, who has verbally committed to TCU, recorded 81 tackles and 7 sacks in ‘06

DB Ugo Okpara, Dulles – The senior is one of the most heavily recruited defensive backs in the state

QB Broderick Thomas, Elkins – Thomas burst onto the scene as a sophomore, combining for over 1,000 rushing and passing yards in only 3 starts

RB Yobis Walker, Brazoswood – Walker was an all Brazoria County selection last year, rushing for 1,393 yards and 17 touchdowns to pace the Buccaneer offense

QB Neal Warden, Clear Creek – Warden led the Wildcats to the playoffs in 2006, throwing for 1,993 yards and 16 TDs while completing over 60 percent of his passes

RB Kasey Carrier, Pearland – The junior will have a tough task replacing Foswhitt Whitaker, but has the talent to become the latest Division I running back to be produced by Pearland

OL Luke Poehlmann, Brenham – The 250 pound senior has committed to Texas, and should be one of the leaders of the Cub offense

QB Xavier Webb, Montgomery – Webb, a Rice pledge, was the district’s offensive player of the year last season (1,905 passing yards, 19 TDs; 883 rushing yards, 12 TDs)

QB Joe Simmons, Caney Creek – The senior speedster directed a dramatic Panther turnaround (state quarterfinal appearance) with 1,972 all-around yards

LB Kyle Mangan, Brenham – The Texas A&M pledge led the Cub defense with 118 tackles, and is the latest in a string of blue chip Brenham linebackers

S Trevor Brazil, Huntsville – Brazil intercepted 4 passes in 2006, and will be a two-way threat this season at running back as well

LB Brandon James, Kashmere – James made the first team all-district list, and will join with Tremain Johnson to form a formidable LB duo for the Rams

DE Jarvis Hopes, Wheatley – Hopes, coming off of an 86 tackle performance in ’06, will provide upfront defensive pressure for the district favorite Wildcats

LB John Feagins, Furr – Feagins was a key performer for the district runner-up Brahmas, with 144 tackles and 4 interceptions

DE Damion Square, Yates – The 270 pound Square, who recently committed to Alabama, was a first team all-district pick last year

OT Leroy Chevalier, Yates – This 310 pound behemoth is the rock of the Lions’ offensive line and is being recruited by numerous Division I powerhouses

WR Darius Austin, Washington – Austin was a first team all-district selection (32-675, 10 TD), leading the War Eagles to a district title in ‘06

QB John Castillo, Davis – Castillo came on strong as a sophomore a year ago, passing for 1, 865 yards and 25 touchdowns, and will guide a potent Panther attack

DB/WR Dashont Williams, Sharpstown – The multitalented Williams will also contribute as a kick returner, leading a hopeful playoff run for the Apollos

QB Gahn McGaffie, Galena Park – The senior, passed for 1,458 yards and ran for 898 yards in being named co-MVP of the district

RB Chance Casey, Crosby – Casey ran for 1,030 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore, garnering 21-4A newcomer of the year honors

QB Durran Starks, Crosby – The senior joins Casey as a backfield threat for the Cougars, passing for 1,378 yards and 14 touchdowns

RB Mike Sigers, Forest Brook – Sigers led the Jaguars in rushing as a sophomore, and was named to the second team all-district squad

DE/LB Dravannti Johnson, Nederland – Johnson has committed to Texas after a stellar junior year (88 tackles, 7 sacks) and will key the Bulldogs’ defense

FS Ford Smesny, Dayton – The senior is a playmaker and a tackling machine (83 tackles in 2006) for the reigning district champions

DE Brian Davis, Central – Davis terrorized opposing offenses in the district with 7 sacks and 9 TFLs as a edge pass rusher

RB/DB D.J. Monroe, Angleton – The senior was the district’s co-MVP in 2006, playing on both sides (1,412 yards, 12 TDs rushing; 88 tackles, 5 INTs as a defensive back)

LB Will Ebner, Friendswood – Ebner has committed to Houston, even after missing last season with an injury (he was sophomore of the year in 2005)

QB Brody Trahan, Dickinson – Trahan, son of Gators coach Warren Trahan, passed for 1,807 yards and 23 TDs while adding 700 rushing yards as a sophomore

CB Johnny Thomas, Texas City – Thomas was a big-time playmaker for the Stings’ defense with 9 interceptions and 1 TD in being named to the first team all-district team

QB Jacob Karam, Friendswood – Karam, only a junior, was named the district’s newcomer of the year with 2,003 passing yards and 21 touchdowns

RB Jacquizz Rodgers, Lamar Consolidated – The senior star paced a state semifinal run by the Mustangs, rushing for 2,593 yards and 52 total touchdowns

QB D.J. Smallwood, Lamar Consolidated – Smallwood captured the district’s offensive sophomore of the year award, combining for 2,348 total offense

LB Sule Osagiede, Lamar Consolidated – This senior is a rare four-year starter, and will likely break the school record for career tackles

OT Mitch Kimberling, Bay City – The 270 pound senior will anchor the offensive line on what should be an improved Black Cat offense

DB/WR Anthony Brown, Terry – Brown is a two-way threat (18-345, 3 TDs as a receiver; 7 INTs as a defensive back
